Welcome to my collection of South Indian recipes!
South Indian food is known for its delicious curries and dals flavored with coconut, curry leaves and spices, and fermented breads like dosa and idli. My father was from Karnataka and my husband is from Tamil Nadu, both beautiful states in south India, and I grew up eating south Indian food and learning how to cook it from the best cooks in my family, including my father and my mother-in-law.
On this page you will find all of my South Indian recipes, including breakfast, dinner and dessert recipes. The traditional recipes I share, like bisi bele bath, adai, lemon rice, upma and sambar, are authentic and have been in my family for decades. But you can also find some easy modern variations, like this instant masala dosa and vegan curd rice.
